On December 11, The management of Financial Ventures Group attended an intimate power breakfast meet and greet event hosted by PinkTie.org and Steiner Sports at the Millennium Broadway Hotel.

One of the special guest was none other than Yankee’s great, the last captain and future Hall of Famer, Dereck Jeter. Arguably the best player ever to put on the Yankee pinstripes; Jeter spent some time taking pictures with guest, going through a Q&A session and signing autographs at the event.

The second guest and keynote speaker was Mark Cuban, the owner of the Dallas Mavericks, an NBA team that won a recent championship in 2011. He is better known for his investment role on the very popular “shark tank” show on CNBC. Known to the world as a Billionaire Investor, Mark Cuban is a serious investor in startups and the securities market. Cuban mentioned a number of inspirational quotes and life lessons he learned throughout his career. He also mentioned on multiple occasions one of his new apps “Cyberdust” was an important tool for business leaders in the crowd. Our CEO, Jay Yu actually jokingly mentioned his own experience with some of his apps and they both laughed it off.

Mr. Yu was enlightened with tips and strategies that were beneficial in all aspects of his personal life. Listening to Mr. Cuban speak about the adversity he faced over the years and seeing all he has accomplished gives people the confidence to strive for their dreams.

About PinkTie.org

PinkTie.org | Real Estate Professionals Networking for a Cure, was founded by Mike Cave, CEO of 1st Equity Title & Closing Services, on the premise that Breast Cancer is an all too familiar threat on Long Island, impacting just about everyone in one way or another.

We realize that we in the real estate community could be doing a lot more to help put an end to this insidious disease, which is disproportionately prevalent here on the Island.

The vision was to find creative ways to bring our vast real estate network together, in support of education and research for the fight against breast cancer.

In addition to standard fundraising events, PinkTie.org uses the men’s fashion accessory to attract funds for local charitable organizations, with sports celebrity-autographed neckties

Goals

The goal is to hold upscale networking events within the real estate community, where we can synergize our vast network with your company and provide exposure to other professionals in this dynamic industry, and work together to raise funds for various foundations who support research and education, for diseases which are prevalent here on Long Island.

We align our efforts with charities that are 100% charitable organizations; in other words, every single penny raised goes towards the cause and makes the most direct impact in our community.

Through strategic partnerships, sponsorships, ticket sales, as well as silent and live auctions, we aim to make an impact for the thousands affected by breast cancer in our community. We work, live and play on Long Island, and now we want to give back. With your help, we are certain we can make great strides.
